Handcrafted in India, the Kansa wand is made from bell metal, a traditional alloy of copper and tin used in Ayurveda for centuries and often called bronze or brass.
It is a classic Ayurvedic facial tool, valued for the slow, rhythmic massage it makes possible. Used with a few drops of facial oil, the smooth domed head glides over skin in gentle upward strokes: a few unhurried minutes at the end of the day.
Used regularly as part of a facial massage, it leaves skin looking smoother, softer and more radiant.
Facial Massage with Kansa Wand:

Prepare Your Skin:
- Clean your face to remove any makeup or impurities.
- Apply facial oil or serum to provide some slip for the wand.

Hold the Wand:
- Grasp the Kansa wand by its handle.

Start with the Forehead:
- Begin at the center of your forehead and move the wand in gentle, circular motions.
- Move outward towards your temples.

Eyes and Nose:
- Use the smaller end of the wand to massage around your eyes in circular motions.
- Move down to the sides of your nose and then to your cheeks.

Cheeks:
- Work the wand in upward strokes along your cheekbones.

Jawline and Neck:
- Move the wand along your jawline in upward strokes.
- Massage your neck with upward and outward strokes.

Repeat:
- Repeat each movement for a few minutes, adjusting the pressure to your comfort level.
Prep with oil
Cleanse, then apply a few drops of Seed Glow Face Oil so the wand glides rather than drags. Never work on dry skin.
Forehead, eyes and cheeks
Hold the wand by its handle. Work in gentle circles from the centre of your forehead out towards the temples, use the smaller end around the eyes, then sweep upward along your cheekbones.
Jaw, neck and finish
Move along the jawline in upward strokes, then down the neck with upward and outward strokes. A few minutes is enough. Use it daily or a few times a week, whatever suits you.

Wipe it clean with a soft cloth after each use and keep it dry. A greyish mark on the skin or wand can appear with bell metal and is normal and harmless. Store it somewhere dry between uses.
