It is a classic Ayurvedic facial tool, valued for the slow, rhythmic massage it makes possible. Used with a few drops of facial oil, the smooth domed head glides over skin in gentle upward strokes: a few unhurried minutes at the end of the day.
Used regularly as part of a facial massage, it leaves skin looking smoother, softer and more radiant.
Kansa Wand vs gua sha: what’s the difference?
Both are facial massage tools used over facial oil, but they are not the same. A Kansa Wand has a smooth, rounded bell-metal dome and is used in slow circles and gentle gliding strokes. Gua sha usually refers to a flat stone or metal tool held at a shallow angle for targeted strokes. Choose the Kansa Wand if you prefer a dome-shaped, Ayurvedic-inspired massage ritual.
Prep with oil
Cleanse, then apply a few drops of Seed Glow Face Oil so the wand glides rather than drags. Never work on dry skin.
Forehead, eyes and cheeks
Hold the wand by its handle. Work in gentle circles from the centre of your forehead out towards the temples, use the smaller end around the eyes, then sweep upward along your cheekbones.
Jaw, neck and finish
Move along the jawline in upward strokes, then down the neck with upward and outward strokes. A few minutes is enough. Use it daily or a few times a week, whatever suits you.

Wipe it clean with a soft cloth after each use and keep it dry. A greyish mark on the skin or wand can appear with bell metal and is normal and harmless. Store it somewhere dry between uses.
